The Senate today adopted an amendment introduced by Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet to help make the most of existing programs, services, and funding. The amendment requires the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to study and provide recommendations on ways to increase the coordination and effectiveness of existing federal programs that benefit or serve children.
The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee unveiled an updated version of the Every Child Achieves Act, a bill to fix No Child Left Behind, with several new measures authored by Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet.
